The Middle East is an area where vehicle is king and fuel is low-cost, often leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly methods of moving around.

But this year, as protests across the Middle East have risen the rate of oil, the problem of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.

In an area that has one of the highest carbon footprints worldwide, one company is taking benefit of the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's established the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving successful too, already their client-list contains McDonald's.
