The Middle East is a region where cars and truck is king and fuel is cheap, little reward to find more environmentally-friendly ways of moving around.

But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have actually pressed up the price of oil, the problem of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.

In a region that has one of the highest carbon footprints worldwide, one company is making the most of the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's established the Middle East's very first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving successful too, already their client-list contains McDonald's.
